Singapore Youth Flying Club

The SYFC CCA offers students with an interest in aviation the chance to engage in a variety of aeromodelling and aviation-related activities. Through hands-on programmes, students develop valuable technical skills while learning the fundamentals of flight.

Launch Glider (LG) Programme
In the LG programme, students build and fine-tune simple unpowered gliders to optimize their flight performance. The programme teaches students how to assemble a glider and introduces the basics of aerodynamics, helping them refine their technical abilities.

PC-Based Flight Simulation Programme
This programme introduces students to aircraft piloting basics using PC-based flight simulators. Students learn about aircraft systems and instruments, radiotelephony, air traffic procedures, and basic flying manoeuvres, including how to take off and land.

Flying Experience Programme (FEP) and Visits
The FEP offers students the unique opportunity to experience joyrides on various aircraft platforms, including those from the RSAF and SYFC, such as the A330 MRTT and Diamond DA40. Students also get the chance to visit airbases, tour squadrons within the RSAF, and engage with operational personnel, providing an immersive experience in aviation.
