Singapore Youth Flying Club

The Singapore Youth Flying Club (SYFC), headquarter at Seletar Airport, was established in December 1971 as the Junior Flying Club. It was the newer version of the Singapore Armed Forces to introduce aviation and provide flight training to the youth of Singapore. It provides aviation-training through its aero modelling courses for secondary-school students and flying training for tertiary students

Training day

On every Friday from  3 30PM to 6 00PM

Objective  of  SYFC In SASS

  • To promote aviation and inculcate a strong passion  for flying amongst our youths by
  • Promoting aero modelling and aviation awareness through our weekly programmes and trainings in building and flying aero models and training sessions in flight simulations.

Programmes of SYFC 

  • Camp:

    - Intensive Training held in November: visit the Air Force Museum at the Paya Lebar Air base. The boys will get to see the various aircrafts on display from the Air Force’s first possessions like the Cessna 172K, BAC 167 Strikemaster and T-33 Shooting Star trainers, to early aircraft like Hawker Hunter and SF-260 SIAI Marchetti, and finally to more recent acquisitions including the UH-1B Helicopter and A4-S Skyhawk.
